This work, which the reader devours, recounts his childhood spent between France, Libya and Syria, following his parents’ encounter at the Sorbonne University cafeteria at the very beginning of the 1970s. This is a masterpiece that deserves the widest readership. My brother lent me his version in English and now I'm reading it again but in original version to practise my French and I'm equally enjoying it the second time around.
