People don’t get up till around 10am and the site was blissfully quiet until 10am meaning we had plenty of sleep. Attention c est immense donc du bruit le soir et tôt le matin selon les voisins... Donc il faut oublier les grasses matinées il y a une base militaire à côté et donc des passagers réguliers d avions et tirs.Nous venons de passer 7 jours dans ce camping. Mostly shaded pitches which was welcome as it was around the 30°C mark for much of our stay. Nous avons pris un bungalow toile 5 places, un peu salle à notre arrivé, nous avons rendu les lieux comme à notre arrivé et la jeune accueillante comme une porte de prison cela ne lui convenais pas. Next door to the campsite is Biscarrosse Adventure - Brilliant! I’ve always said I’ll never go back any where as the worlds too big, but I’m definitely coming back here next year. Biscarosse was however,awful. We wish people would respect that work and leave the toilets clean after their use. The location itself is great with a short walk into the village for shops, bars, food and restaurants.
Bad - toilets and shower blocks are very old and tired and not well cleaned or serviced. I must admit it was worth 30 Euros to escape. The toilets shower block were lovely and clean and modern with showers with basins in which was great as I like to do my teeth after a shower.
We were pleased to move on.We stayed here in early October and were probably the only people there, I swear they locked the gates when we left. The French were extremely friendly and the children made many friends, mostly communicating via google translate - but there French has improved massively. If you’ve done tree trecking at Centre Parcs it’s like that but 100 times better and so much value for money, with courses from 4 years up. The beach is the best beach we’ve been to down the Atlantic coast and will not disappoint. Le lodge massai est très confortable, bien isolé du bruit du camping. The tap water on the site is completely safe and tastes fine so we just refilled our bottles there. Our pitch was great! What we don’t agree with is the “cleaned” part : our team works hard to keep all the blocks clean and neat.
Always had to search for a member of staff, very little information available about things to do into the area. Good - our pitch was very nice, nestled amongst pine trees in dappled sunlight. Our residents sometimes come for decades, but their caravans are not abandoned.
