Phil 2:13.
Paul could say in 2 Corinthians 1:5, For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also abounds through Christ. (If you are discouraged by failures, the truth that God is continually at work in you and clearly has not given up on you should encourage you to forget what lies behind (Php 3:13) and press on (Php 3:14-Paul did not underestimate the importance of faithful obedience, but he knew that underlying all our obedience and acceptable service was the energizing power and will of God, Who Alone then will receive the glory.

It shows submission to a higher power.• The angelic host will sing his praises in heaven.• People (and possible all living beings) will bow their knee on earth. You would not have seen the mighty hands moulding the earth.
And what farmer is afraid of the agency of God in the case, or supposes that the fact that God exerts an agency is a reason why he should not plow and plant his field, or set out his orchard?
Some consequences of our sins can never be reversed. And divine power is released in and through human struggling to enable us to accomplish in our labor what we otherwise never would.Again, God's sovereignty doesn't undermine human activity but inspires it! When the God energizes His children to obey and serve Him; His power enables their sanctification.
As he encouraged them to work out their salvation with fear and trembling (Php 2:12), Paul said they would not be on their own. Sometimes we want to do right but seem to lack the energy or ability. One of his insights had to do with the role that purpose plays in human longevity. In verse 13, he assures them that God is at work in them—giving them the ability to do what is needed.Likewise in the spiritual realm the will comes first. Specific Application--Harmony for the World's and Paul's Sake (2:14-16) In moving from the general appeal to its specific application, Paul has clearly "encouragement to fulfill the last exhortation—for you are not left to yourselves, but have the almighty Spirit dwelling in you to aid you. Many more years passed, and Brother Lawrence's countenance and demeanor gradually changed until others began asking him a reason for his radiance.
The phrase, “fear and trembling,” can mean fear of God.
(2Chr 30:12)LORD, you will grant us peace, for all we have accomplished is really from you.
