This was a small part of the book.I like Ewan but not sure I like all the scheming it felt it dragged a bit.I haven’t read Heather McCollum before, but the promise of an adventure involving the Tudors, pirates and magic made this one irresistible.
Pirates, Highlanders, Magic, historical England...whats not to like? Not my usual type of read but the idea of Highlanders at King Henry's court mixed with pirates and not forgetting the possibility of witchcraft was too much temptation to resist! Has just the right amount of suspense, passion and romance.
I will now anxiously await each new release from this author.

I did not like this book, either. That the corpse in Ewan´s custody happens to be her father, must be chance.
