I'm not entirely sure which film these critics saw, but I found it anything but boring and disappointing. One afternoon Jim falls asleep and is late picking his children up from school, he lies to the headteacher as to why this was, however, he is caught out later when Danielle asks why he was late and he fails to use the same excuse he did in front of his children, with his children saying he is lying. In the waiting room alone, he breaks down emotionally. Yvonne is preparing to go out to meet someone, a babysitter arrives and Yvonne leaves. Yes, you can tell that the director has only directed theatre productions, which gives the film a certain spareness, but once again this makes it more unique to me.

At the end I felt like I really knew these people, and I deeply felt for them.

Yvonne confesses her feelings for Jim and they have sex in his marital bed, they soon embark on a fully fledged sexual affair, having sex regularly in a hotel room and latterly on a nearby beach where they are caught. I watched it about 5 days ago and it is still stuck in my head and I keep of finding myself thinking back to it.

It's such a small but perfect cast and such a tender and yet uncomfortable story.
