This exceeded all our expectation. I have trail running shoes and are more than enough but I saw a couple of people wearing regular sneakers and they had it rough.Magnifique vue à la Schynige Platte et belle descente!Beautiful trail! Pretty easy and doable for most people.

I walked this trail with a good friend in Oktober of 2017. Get the old train up (about 50 mins) and then hike to your hearts content. We had done Jungfrau and certainly it is amazing as well.

The views of the Eiger, Monk and Jungfrau are beyond imagine. It took us about two hours to complete, and was quite easy. There is a 2 meter section of the trail that narrows on both sides, but aside from that the hiking is fairly easy.The trail is beautiful but can be a little demanding for beginners, not because of the difficulty but because the road is full of rocks so hiking shoes are a must. If you have more time I would definitely recommend a longer hike from Schynige Platte, but if you have low time or energy this is an amazing option. There is a well marked, safe and easy trail up to Oberberghorn, but it is out and back.
