| Rating: 4/5 Actors made this movie fabulous with the story that made you feeling involved, wanting to help but not been able, I rated this one an A grade plus for holding my interest all the way through the show full on suspense, so why are you reading this, why not out there getting it so you can judge for yourself, top of the art movie couldn't be better not over done and hit the right note. Don’t worry, it won’t take long. Read Less. So much so, that he had ME grimacing and wincing, ... grunting and moaning right out loud, ... to include even physical, bodily gestures and reactions as the result of my (merely self-imagined) perception of the supreme level of intensity that he had to have been experiencing during his ultimately forced actions of self-inflicted gore and pain! 127 Hours manages to be gripping despite its incredibly small scope, thanks largely to a strong performance by James Franco and kinetic direction by Danny Boyle. Danny Boyle is a master of imagery, creating a nightmarish atmosphere, and James Franco is superb more ore less alone for the duration.

By creating an account, you agree to the Danny Boyle's hyper-kinetic cinematic vision for 127 Hours feels more than a little inappropriate and shallow. I love reading the Ralston interviews, the stories, the updates stories and what not, but for some reason, this film has never really gelled with me that much. Quite how this poor man's story has been made into such a bad and very boring film I don't quite know. View All Photos (21)
Smooth slot canyons, intricately weaving through the desolate landscape, bask in the beating sunlight.
I like that I felt with the character in the film, in the end I always cry a little bit. Stream on any device any time. With Aronofsky editing, Terry Gilliam angles for shits and kicks, and an Abel-Gance-like splitting of the screen into three parts, we have a proper true story and an interesting character analysis for the purpose of dramatization thanks to its visual versatility, even if I still cannot stop thinking whether if the film could have worked better with a more serious tone, perhaps a real documentary. 127 Hours is not only an inspirational story about one man's journey, but a testament to the very essence of survival and humanity, prompting each of us to look within ourselves. January 10, 2011 All this highly intense viewer engagement, all while sitting right here in the safety and comfort of my own living room chair.
We might have both our arms left, but our nerves are just as terrorised.

There were many scenes that never happened in the book and very little time was spent on how much time Aron spent reflecting on his family, friends, and experiences - and that is what the bulk of the book is about. That director Danny Boyle makes us feel the shock of relief as Ralston finally pulls away from his stony prison signals just how immersive a piece of first-person story-telling this is.
